Non Protected BCV Replacement

I have a server running HPUX 11.i. EMC will be replacing a bad disk non protected BCV disk. This disk is also part of /backup filesystem which is used for hot backup for Oracle.

EMC says they will do a full establish once the disk is replaced.

Are there any tasks that need to be completed prior and after by the system administrator?

Re: Non Protected BCV Replacement

Shouldn't be a prob... the LVM data from the standard won't change so nothing would have to be done. Do you have the BCV presented to any nodes? If so, just make sure it isn't active on those nodes.

Re: Non Protected BCV Replacement

All that needs to be done is a full establish.

As far as prior - make sure the file systems (on the backup server) are NOT mounted and the vg isn't activated.
