Not able to install via ignite.
Hi ALL
I got a problem like, i have configured a ignite server [9000/826/E45]. Made all the config file and depots available.
The problem is when i try to give the command
bootsys -a -f -v -i "HP-UX B.11.11 ALL_LOCALS" test40
nothing will happen, it's simply hangs. And also when i try from
1) sea lan install
2) bo 15.70.175.213 then itself it's hanging. So i thought that my be some network related issues, so i have changed a network cable as well as network port twice but
still i am facing the same problem.
Can anybody help out in this issues.
Thanks in Advance

Re: Not able to install via ignite.
There are a limited set of network interfaces supported - check the FAQ at http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/index.html
To verify you have a good installation you could try the "bootstrap" approach by running make_boot_tape and booting from this tape to find your Ignite server. If that works then the issue is probably that bootp is not configured correctly or not supported for your client.

Re: Not able to install via ignite.
You should be on the same subnet and make sure you aren't trying to go through a firewall. Like stated before, check your boot server logs.

Re: Not able to install via ignite.
Hi
One thing i forget to tell u. That i am able to do the installation from that IGNITE server by putting "INSTALL & INSTALLFS" to client "/stand" dir.
ISL>hpux /stand/INSTALL ==> It's working fine
without any interrupt & error.
The only thing i am not able to give "sea lan install" or bootsys command.
[Note:- in that "sea lan install" the server name is listing, but when i try to boot from that server simply it's hangging more that 2 hrs.]
More over bot server and the client are in the same subnet.
what to do now.
Thanks in Advance
