not able to switch user

Hi
I am not able to switch the user from another user. It happens with only one user in the system.However I can directly logon onto the box using the same user id.Can anybody help me why I am not able to switch that user?

Hi Arun,

What error you got while trying to switch user?
Try with su -

Hi,

Could you try to login as ROOT and try "su" to THAT user ?

try #su - also

COuld you get the error

What is there in that user's $HOME/.profile or /etc/profile related with that user?

Can you try as,

$ su

It may work. Is your system non-trusted one right?
