Not able to view files through FTP tool

Hi All,

On a HPUX 11.23 server, we are accessing a file system through FTP tool and we are not able to see folder names properly (initial 3 letters are not visible. e.g. for "devcomn" it is showing "comn".

For all the other file systems, it is showing OK.

We have tried with application user, and root user also.

Please help.

Thanks and Regards

Re: Not able to view files through FTP tool

Hi,

If you can do that, go to that server and make a directory like;

# mkdir devcomn1

and check how it looks ?

I have made a directory by name "devcomn1".

It is only showing "comn1".

Re: Not able to view files through FTP tool

This is a problem with the remote system. You can verify that by using a PC to access the same system. The names of the files are presented by the remote system.

Where is this file system? What is "FTP
tool"? What, exactly, are you doing?

As usual, showing actual commands with their
actual output can be more helpful than vague
descriptions and interpretations.

There was a setting in FTP tool.

Setting?! I'd settle for knowing what "FTP
tool" was.

Given the lack of useful details in the
description of the _problem_, what did you
expect in the description of the _solution_?
