Not recognized cards of network

I have an equipment HP 9000, K380 model and the following problems: When shutdown the equipment a damage the Operating system occurring message of error in VLM, reconstructed the Kernel and are left two problems, 1. - When using the command shutdown, the problem appears again. 2. - It does not recognize network cards, when SAM is used does not recognize no card in the equipment. Please one helps in this problem. Thanks

Hi Jorge,

To better understand the issue, would you mind posting any messages pertaining to the problem in your /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log or /var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log. The output of "ioscan -fn" and the /stand/system file may help as well.

cat /etc/rc.config.d/netconf
netstat -rn

Hi,

You said you reconstructed the kernel, so there could be a possibility of the drivers for the network cards gone out during the kernel reconfiguration.

Boot with the old kernel vmunix.prev and see if you could be able to see the cards. If so, take a difference of the /stand/system (system and system.prev) files and probably you may be able to figure it out.

It will be helpful if you can post the outputs of ioscan and lanscan, netstat -i along with the netconf file.
