nPar - BCH search command
Hi,
We have rp8400 server with 4 cells and I have created a single partition on that. From BCH menu if I do a search for disks I am only getting 2 HDDs. Where as the server has 4 HDDs. (It shows only the disks attached to the Chasis 0, i.e. (0/0/0/x/x.x.x PATH). Earlier we had 2 partitions ( 2 cells each ) and I was able to see the 1/0/0/x disks from the other partiton and even I had a OS installed on those disks. Now that I have removed the partition and how can I boot the OS present on those disks? ( I didn't mean to say that simlutaneously I wanted all the OSs UP ) ..
Thanks
Karthik

Re: nPar - BCH search command
Hi,
The command "search" by default shows only the devices that are attached to the Core IO
You can either give
search all
Or
search cell-number
Regards,
Karthik

Re: nPar - BCH search command
Hi. karthik
The rad -q command lists each active PCI slot, its associated HP-UX hardware path, and other slot details.
The ioscan -C ba command lists the active PCI slots (local PCI Bus adapter) for your nPartition.

Re: nPar - BCH search command
Hi,
The lower two disks are connected to second core i/o's SCSI.
We had similar issue with Rp7410. The system
orignally had two disks(upper). When we added
disks to lower storage slots, it will not work
until we added cell board, core i/o as a set.
Since you had two partitions and made now as
one, make sure all the 4 cells are appearing in the new partition and all are enabled.
Just a thought.
