nPars check

This is probably an easy one for most of you, but here it is....

Hi I have an older rp7400 that we want to know if there's a simple command to run on to check if it is nPar'd? Can anyone help? (I know vparstatus shows you this in vPars, but what about nPars??)

Hi,

Npars are not available on an rp7400
It starts from rp7410.

So I think your problem is solved.

As per my understanding if it is a cell based system u have to create a npar for using that server. So it will definately have npar if it is a working server.Even u can check it from MP, example is given below:
MP:CM>cp

it will show u the partitions created along with the cell no.'s.

Hi,

It is not possible to use the rp7400 system without creating atleast one nPAR, hence it is sure that it is nPARed.

you can use

MP>CM>CP --> to get the nPAR -- cell assignments and other info

or

#parstatus from HPUX

to get FULL info
