Hi,

This eeror message occurs when the named daemon is not running on the nameservers specified in /etc/resolv.conf.

Please check whether they are running. If they are, you can check whether named is listening on the right lan interface by using
netstat -an|grep 53.

Hope this helps,
Rik.

This error can also be caused by the DNS servers running very slowly - so slow that they dont repsond to requests. However, youve got 2 DNS servers configured both on different subnets so unlikely both are running so slow theyre not responding, more likely you have a network problem of some sort which is stopping the requests getting there and back.

Re: nslookup Can't find server name for address 145.62.156.6: Timed out

Both the servers have named deamon running.
But both of them are on the other side of the firewall. After investigation in the organization, Firewall prevents Name lookup.
Thanks for help.
