NTP
Hi
i have just set up ntp on my machines and they are all referencing one servers local clock as a point of reference.
i don't have access to the wide world from unix servers.
my question is that all my servers ref the one piont fine and when i type NTPQ -P they respond instantly, but on one server altough the time seems to be syncronised the ntp command takes 54 seconds to return.
any ideas.
regards
andy

Re: NTP
Hello,
I'd verify network connectivity response time with a ping and traceroute. Also you might want to do both nslookup and reverse lookups against ip address on both client and server. Other than that check patch levels on that box and compare to others. I assume they are probably same.
Regards,
dbk.
