I'm not sure I understand your problem. To me, this sounds right. What did you expect to happen?

Escuse me if i don't explain correctly.

UNIX 11.00

if i send : lp -dImp -on5 /verif_edi
UNIX print 5 copy of the file /verif_edi

but Imp is a printer in Windows
I have install TCPIP service printing

The problem is in the spooler windows.
I have 5 print and not 1 print with 5 copy.

Is it OK ???

Re: Number of print copy between UNIX and LPD (Win2000)

Hi,

Unless you're saying that you get 5 different documents (DocumentA, DocumentB, DocumentC, etc), I don't see the difference between 5 copies of DocumentA and DocumentA printing 5 times.

I'm sure I must be missing something here, but I don't know what it is.

The problem is the printer.

If it's 5 copy the printer print all copy without stop

But if the printer print 5 same documents it's printing 1 document, stop, an other document, stop, an other document, stop .......

I would like to have juste 1 document in my spooler WINDOWS but with 5 copy.

Thanks for all informations

rlp has limited model support. The only way it knows to print 5 copies is to send the file 5 times.

You would have to have a locally-managed print queue in order to send options like "print this file 5 times" to the printer.
