Odd crashes

Have a hp-ux 10.20 workstation that crashes from time to time (a couple of times each month).

this is the last message from /var/adm/shutdownlog:
10:36 Thu Mar 14 2002. Reboot after panic: TOC, pcsq.pcoq = 0.d8d24, isr.ior = 0.4ba0e4

Does anyone know what this could be?

Re: Odd crashes

Your system is either being manually TOC'ed by someone, or there is a possible hardware problem.
Some systems have a little pushbutton on them that is the TOC button, make sure no-one is pushing this :-}
else have the dump that is created analysed by HP.
Out of interest, what model is it?

My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Re: Odd crashes

Are you using serviceguard?
It will TOC under certain circumstances to protect your data.

I'd also get latest TOC patches (begin your search with)

PHKL_20937 and PHKL_22926

but the TOC can be issued from the console (or gsp)
via Ctrl-B, TC
or via a button on the back of the system.

It works for me (tm)
