Omniback handling of softlinks

I'm trying to setup a Omniback backup defintion for a a directory which solely contains soft links to the actual datafiles. Reason being that the data being backed up is a database which is serviceguard cluster. The backup will execute successfully BUT the amount of data backed up iz 0 Mb !!!!! It appears that Omniback cannot handle softlinks ??? Any ideas anyone ???
Keep on trying !!

Re: Omniback handling of softlinks

Hi,

OB does not follow softlinks, it only backups the link itself.
You must define the real mount point of the data you want to backup.

Hi,

Document #S3100007811 discusses backup of NFS mount points.
Better is document #S3100007811.
I've put you this at the attachment.
