omniback II 4.0 error
Hi,
The scenario is :-
Cell manager installed on hpux11.00, hp9000/A500
Installation server installed on nt server
installation server is added to cell manager.
Now when I am trying to connect to cell manager , it gives me an error "can not connect to cell mgr"
what may be the reason?

Obstacles exist to challenge you to keep going. Not to quit.

Re: omniback II 4.0 error
OBII is very fussy about name resolution...double check using nslookup that you can resolve on IP and name.
Just a quick thought,
Rita

Re: omniback II 4.0 error
Hi,
The other thing that you may look is the file "UserList" in the /etc/opt/omni/users of the cell manager and in this file you must have the name of the pc, the domain in uppercase letters and the full qualified name in lowercase letters.
Regards,
Justo.
