Omniback restore

Dear all,

I'm trying to start a restore from a standalone DLT drive but every time I kick it off I get a mount request for my library's DLT drive.
I've done a "change device" and selected the correct drive but it still tried to start on the library device. I also scanned in the tape in the drive I want to use but this also didn't help.
I even tried using omnidbutil -changebdev on the restore session, still no good.

Any ideas?

I'm runnning OBII v4.1 on HPUX 11.00

Did you choose the right session?

By default, OB will try to restore from the session of the last backup, unless you change it.

What tape is it asking for ? The one of the right backup, or the one of the last backup?

Hi Massimo,

I mis-understood the changebdev option, I tried it on the restore session instead of the backup session. I must start reading man pages before I try things!
