online diagnostics
why didn't online diagnostics install the xstm
portion. I get not found when trying to start.

If it was a make_sys_image, then my guess would be that /usr/sbin/xstm was listed in the 'no-archive' section...

When you did the ignite, did you grab all of the rootvg?
Have you check the syslog or the rc.log for related error messages?

given more information on this
1. I did check /usr/sbin for xstm. it is not there.
2. When I ignited the system, I used a boot helper tape and
ignited from a depot with just
the base o/s, after which I installed all other apps and
patches either from the depot
or downloaded from HP's web
site.
I also checked pathing.
I will follow up with hp.

I'd check the state of the filesets in that bundle - try this:
swlist -a state -l fileset OnlineDiag
Make sure everything comes back Configured.
Msy need to reinstall the OnlineDiag bundle.
