Re: OnlineJFS licensing: CPU or server ?
Typically HP prices it's SW on a tier basis.
Tier 1 being workstations & small servers (A-class, etc.) Tier 2 is midrange servers (L & N-class, etc.). And finally Tier 3 is large servers (rp8400 SuperDome).
In other words, the larger the server, the higher the cost.
Rgds,
Jeff

Re: OnlineJFS licensing: CPU or server ?
How do you know the license is per PRODUCTION CPU only ?
Because I got quite a lot of sandboxes in the environment...
Thanks !

Re: OnlineJFS licensing: CPU or server ?
Your best way to handle this, is talk to your local HP Account Manager - he would be glad to inform you on pricing for your environment.

Re: OnlineJFS licensing: CPU or server ?
One day, hopefully it will be included with all OE's - just like in AIX.
