Re: OnlineJFS version?
# swlist -l bundle|grep -i jfs
This will show you 3.3 if that is what you are running.
Regards!

Re: OnlineJFS version?
Here is what the new version looks like:
# swlist | grep -i jfs
B3929BA B.11.00 HP OnLineJFS (Advanced VxFS)
B3929CA B.03.03 JFS 3.3 Filesystem For 11.00
You don't necessarily need to upgrade. The old version works.
You need the new version if you are going to share file systems with newer versions of HP-UX, like HP-UX 11i. By share I mean NFS mounts to/from or MC/SG. If you don't "share" filesystems, you don't need to upgrade. (That's my opinion.)

Re: OnlineJFS version?
cocn03(root):/> swlist -l bundle |grep -i jfs
B3929BA B.11.00 HP OnLineJFS (Advanced VxFS)
The reason why I might need 3.3 is that the Veritas NetBackup 4.5 product dependencies list includes OnlineJFS 3.3 or higher.

Re: OnlineJFS version?
We run it on some servers and not on others, for some reason which I don't remember.
But, we are probably going to put it on our remaining 11.0 servers because we are moving to 11i on new servers and we share files through EMC BCVs.
