Re: Only first LUN of my Raid system is visible with ioscan
You'll probably find that the lun 0, that is visable is not really visable..
diskinfo /dev/dsk/cXtYd0
and you'll get size 0k
The lun 0 ALWAYS shows up even if it exists or not.
Run an ioscan -fnk and post it up.
If the tgt corresponding to the array controller is CLAIMED, and you're sure you have created the luns, then you're either in need of a later sdisk driver or need to configure the controller to allow the host to see the luns.
On the nike disk arrays you can block access through either one of the controllers to the luns.
Have you got more than one bus into the array? Can you see the luns on the backup/failover controller?

Re: Only first LUN of my Raid system is visible with ioscan
btw, if you added the luns after server power up, you will need to force a rescan with ioscan.
use ioscan -fn
to see newly added/configured hardware devices (luns)
An ioscan -fnk
will remain showing what happened since last boot or last -fn ioscan otherwise.
You may also have to install special files for the new luns.
insf -eH
You get HW Path from the ioscan -fnk
(Note ioscan -fnk is faster than ioscan -fn because it doesn't reset the drivers to rescan for new h/w.. try to use ioscan -fnk unless you add new hw. Another problem can arrise when you use ioscan -fn twice. You can end up resetting the driver and causing bus timeouts and possibly hangs. put it in the background with &, to avoid blocking your console if you're doing it from there.)

Re: Only first LUN of my Raid system is visible with ioscan
Hi Guettache,
As Bill says if it is only ioscan problem then ok. else
Did you install any disk driver?
for example we had system j5000 with disk array and one lun. I was installing new disk (SYMBOIS) and I install driver for that disks and when system reboots I can't see my first lun. In that case you have to do
#vgexport vg0?
#vgimport vg0?
