opennms service enabling

I want to enable opennms service on my hp9000N4000 system. Is there any pkg which I need to install?

That's an interesting question as there's no binary build for HPUX, only Debian, RH, Suse, and Solaris. You might be successful with gcc's compile of the source code but as I've never used OpenNMS on HPUX, I don't know how far it'd go.

I am sorry for not being clear. I want to enable snmp service on my hpux11.00 server. I already have an opennms server which is collecting data currently from most of my other servers except from my hp server.

I did get some clues on previous forum postings but had some specific questions:

Q1: what is snmp master agent vs subAgents?

Q2: what is snmpd and snmpdm?

I get the following as:

#ps -ef | grep snmp

root 986 1 0 Apr 6 ?
:00 /usr/sbin/snmpdm

root 4467 2787 1 10:49:54 pts/68 0:00 grep snmp
