OpenPBS on HPUX 11.11

Has anyone successfully compiled OpenPBS on HP-UX 11.11.

I have downloaded version 2.3.16 of OpenPBS and have GNU gcc 3.2 and make 3.79.1 (plus bison 1.35 and flex 2.5.4a).

I run configure with no errors then I try a gmake, this gives the following error:

gmake[4]: Entering directory '/usr/local/OpenPBS_2_3_16/src/lib/Libattr
gmake[4]: *** No rule to make target '', needed by 'attr_atomic.o'. Stop.

Can anyone assist with this problem. Thanks and Happy New Year
