Openspool update problems

Folks

When trying to update Openspool after creating a new device and queue, I get the following error. Activating configuration changes ...
Testing remote services (npservd) on realm master.
Remote services on system n4000 are not available.

The n4000 system in question is the machine which I am working on.
Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Mike - Try the following string: http://us-support.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=3d9fffd4134b943344/screen=ckiDisplayDocument?docId=200000033746774

Make sure the host resolution to the destination machine is correct..

Re: Openspool update problems

Michael,

As a fellow Openspool user. I went back and checked. Since your talking about an N4000 (running at least 11.0)...
Check and see if a patch (PHSS_7939) that addressed these types of things on a 10.X box.
So you might want to check on your patches on the 11.0 box. The question is....Can you get patches for an 11.0 for Openspool???

Re: Openspool update problems

Folks

The npservd just needed to be restarted.
Running
/sbin/init.d/opsp stop
and then
/sbin/init.d/opsp start
worked and I have now set up the queues. Thanks for everyone's help.
