OpenSSH Binaries and Procedure for HPUX 11i

Hi,

Is there anybody who have successfully implemented OpenSSH on HPUX 11i?

We badly need the subject for our new project.

Hope our guro are still there.

Im not sure of what you mean by OpenSSH. HP have released their own version of secure shell based on openssh, but HP have test it, created install and configure scripts, and bundled it into depot format. We use it on all our HP servers - I think you will find most people have.

Openssh, as from openssh.org, is obviously a little newer than HP's version, but its not been tested on HP, compiled, configured to work with HP-UX, or bundled into HP's depot format, so for that reason I always go with HP's secure shell version which you can download from www.software.hp.com (product T1471AA).

Hi Be,

I have compiled this openssh on hpux 11.i and hpux 11.0, the only problem is with hpux 11.i I am unable to ssh thru the hostname(IP address works fine). I am going to use the hpux 11.0 and depotize it and put this somewhere you can use it. Please do not usr T1471AA as it is an older version of openssh and it has security warnings on it. Please try to get openssh 3.7.p1.

Doc is good for Secure Shell and openssh on HP-UX and Linx openssh. I use it in a multi server environment that includes HP-UX Linux 7.3 and 9.0 from Red Hat.
