Operating Environments

Hi All,

HP-UX Operating Environments has different types as follows

FOE - Foundation Operating Environment
EOE - Enterprise Operating Environment
MCOE - Mission Critical Operating Environment
MTOE - Minimum Technical Operating Environment
TCOE - Technical Computing Operating Environment

1) Since which version this OE has come
2) Differences between the OE
3) How to find which OE is installed

Re: Operating Environments

1) HP-UX Operating Environments were introduced with HP-UX 11i V1 (11.11).

2) You can find details on the OE's on HP's web site.

http://h20338.www2.hp.com/hpux11i/cache/324915-0-0-0-121.html

3) You can find which version is installed via swlist.

swlist -l bundle |grep OE

You should see a line come up that mentions Enterprise OE, Mission Critical, etc. depending on your version. If you don't see one, then you probably just have the FOE.
