operation will exceed absolute limit on this volume.
The following appears in my install log when I was installing DataProctector.
after the installation. ¦
¦ ¦ ERROR: The used disk space on filesystem "/opt" is estimated to ¦
¦ ¦ increase by 580040 Kbytes. ¦
¦ ¦ This operation will exceed the absolute limit on this volume ¦
¦ ¦ by 132680 Kbytes. You should free up at least 132680 Kbytes ¦
¦ ¦ to avoid installing beyond the minimum free threshold of ¦
¦ ¦ available user disk space.
I had just increased opt to 2 Gig because the first install anlysis indicated lack of space in /opt filesys
after the installation. ¦

Re: operation will exceed absolute limit on this volume.
You have more disk space requierd in /opt than the isntallation requires
The steps for increase include
lvextend
extendfs -F -vxfs rlvol_name
Of you skipped the extendfs step, there still isn't enough space on the filesystem.
The steps above require the fs to be unmounted. If you have onlineJFS you can use fsadm to extend without unmounting.
