I think Oracle doe have a pre-install script to check for required patches.

Nelson,

The X11 Motif Development Kit should be part of the system install. I think it comes right off the core OS disk, though there is some chance it might be on the applications set. Your other patch looks like part of the Jun 03 Gold/Quality Pack. If you have a subsequent Quality Pack you should be covered.

I was also thinking about that but the "_Aux_Patch" suffix in the QPK is confusing me. All of the periodic GQPK's I've envountered before do not have the "_Aux_" designation.

Agreed. I've never seen an _Aux_ designation before either.

Motif DevKit outside of the C/C++ product I've found.

The JUN03GQPK.._Aux_Patch.. is indeed confusing. I've the Dec2004 GoldQPKs that have been updated peridically with individual patches -- which should be good.
