Oracle 11i application ops

Hi,

We are planning to build a 9iRAC using OPS. This will provide the database to our 11i apps. I understand this will deal with the clustering of the database. My question is would I need to use service guard "full" to handle the concurrent managers loocated on the database server's. Has anybody configured oracle 11i using services guard.

Hi,

First, to user 9iRAC, you have a special edition of ServiceGuard called OPS edition.
So, in this case, your won't use Oracle database like in a "normal" configuration of MC/ServiceGuard, you have to configure disks in shared mode and you have a quite different installation os the softwares.
