Hi Cass,

The Certification Matrix posted by T G Manikandan is enough proof to say that Oracle 8i Release 3 (8.1.7.0) is certified to work on HP-UX 11i.

You might have to apply the latest patch sets 8.1.7.4 if there are additional requirements or bugs in the base release.

Attached is a quick start document about installation of Oracle 8.1.7 ob HP-UX 11i. This is not a complete installation guide, but a referance and provides information about certification and how it works.

We are currently using oracle 8.1.7.4 on HP-UX 11.11 and 11.0
