Oracle 9i installation on Itanium

Hello administrators,

tomorrow I will installing Oracle 9i (9.0.1) on Itanium machine. Could someone please indicate a good documentation on how to install and configure it ?
I've already download docs from otn.oracle.com

That document should be sufficient.

1.check for the pre-requisite software & install those software.

2.Install the appropriate OS patches.

3.Tune your kernel on the installation requirements.

4.Download the oracle software 9.0.1 for HP Itanium servers
Do not download the software used for RISC servers

5.Create oracle user and group dba.

Login as oracle

Run the installer.sh to install the software.

Hello TG,

one more thing: I look at the oracle docs/download and I see Oracle 9i.02 for Itanium and 9i.01 for HP 9000.
Is possible to install 9i 01 on Itanium ?

I am not sure whether you have the 9.0.1 software for Itanium servers.

Even on the support matrix I could not find 9.0.1.

I could see 9.2. versions.

Get the software as mentioned in the previous link.
