Oracle Apps Install 12 failed with user id and #root id OK

Hi,

Iam using HPUX 11iv3 and installtion Oracle Application R12 rapidwiz and unable to install successfully with oracle user, But with #root user it finished successfully.

As i workout with the ping which did not work before and change in $.profile PATH=$PATH:/home/oracle/ping export PATH


But result failed..... Kindly follow below details which i workedout in oracle user and a snap of failure attached with this link .

presently iam able to ping hostname from user id as well as root id , But cannot succeed with the installtion.

PING file STATUS:

lr-sr-xr-t 1 root sys 14 Feb 25 2004 ping -> /usr/sbin/ping

-r-sr-xr-t 1 root sys sdf 14 Feb 25 2004 ping

it looks to me more like a problem with hostname resolution. did you use ITS (install time security)? and set it to Sec10Hosts? check your permissions on /etc/hosts file can it be read by the oracle user?

Hi,

There is no security and now the problem is solved.

The ping utility which copied to users /home/oracle permission changed chmod 4755, But by mistake i did not change in /usr/sbin/ping permission to chmod 4755.

Now it works fine. Thanks for every one help
