Oracle is suddenly failed
Hi all,
Hi all,
I have an Oracle database 8.1.7.4 for HP-UX 11i, and run on HP 9000/800,
about 1000 user.
Oracle is suddenly Failded. but I can not find out what is cause. Please hepl me.
When Oracle run, I use glance command to monitor, I see the CPU and Memory are 100%.
When I checked the Oracle trace file, it message that

Hi,
The first strange thing I see is your $ORACLE_HOME: /home/oracle/product/8.0.5? I think it should be something more explicit and according to your rdbms version, something like:
/home/oracle/product/8.1.7
Maybe you're facing a memory issue. Check this thread:

hi,
as Eric mentioned above, it is most likely a memory problem.
You should also have a look at your alert.log. There is also a likelihood of a runway oracle process.
please post more details (e.g. error in alert log, application types that you run, are you on MTS or dedicated?)
