Oracle Patch Upgrade from 9.2.0.7 to 9.2.0.8 in a two node Cluster.
The problem i am facing is the lsnrctl gets started automatically even if i stop it.
Has any one done similar type of upgrade?
Do we have any issue with 9.2.0.8 ?

Re: Oracle Patch Upgrade from 9.2.0.7 to 9.2.0.8 in a two node Cluster.
I've done and worked with customers doing similar upgrades.
The cluster package that runs Oracle should start the listener and the database. It should be integrated so that when the database fails over to a new node, all critical services are started.
This sounds like a problem with the cluster configuration.
Everything I've seen says 9.2.0.8 is stable, if approaching end of support life. If this behavior is caused by Oracle and not your cluster configuration, it should not be a problem on the new release. I'm just not convinced of the source of the problem.
