Re: Oracle -Problme Patching memory exhausted
Try and reduce memory use and run again.
I find it interesting that Oracle support says its a network error when the program they provide says its out of memory.
Perhaps analyze the system with a memory leak detector.

Re: Oracle -Problme Patching memory exhausted
Well, this suggests to use a diffrent port :-)
Which port works and which one does not ?
May be, you have some kind of active network component in between (filter, firewall, loadbalancer, ...) that keeps track how long a session is established and that forces a
session disconnect after a specific (idle?) timeout.
This would be a security feature to avoid
that someone can "steal" an authorized/identified session that is no longer used.
Esp. if the "original" port you use is port 80 or 443 this feature could be a standard behavior on a loadbalancer.
Some other things to hunt for:
-Check the listener log for strange messages.
-Check "lsnrctl services" for an extremly hight amount of sessions.
