Oracle9iAS in MC/ServiceGuard setup.

I have problems running Oracle 9iAS as a ServiceGuard package. Does anyone have experince in setting up Oracle 9iAS in an MC ServiceGuard environment ?

Here is some onformation for you:

Visit the following URL's

http://www.hporaclectc.com/cug/html/9iascookbookhpux.html
(you have to register and login on http://www.hporaclectc.com first)

http://technet.oracle.com/products/ias/files/9iAS_Infra_HA_HPUX.zip
(zip archive containing white papers from Oracle and example package control
scripts and configuration files).

Please note that HP does not support the integration of Oracle9iAS
Infrastructure into MC/ServiceGuard. The integration is directly supported
by Oracle.

Do I need to be an Oracle or HP employee to access this site? I'm in need of some good doc to pull this same stunt off. Regards

Re: Oracle9iAS in MC/ServiceGuard setup.

Oracle made a special solution for running 9iAS as a serviceguard package in our environment. We have installed the 9iAS on 2 standalone servers, an moved the database to a serviceguard package in another cluster.
Oracle is releasing a new version of the 9iAS (version 10G)that supports MC ServiceGuard. I think this will come in the beginning of 2004.

Dear Melvyn.
Unfortunately I cannot use the URL's you have written above. I'm not Oracle, Hp or partner. Is it possible to get a login or see the documentation by e-mail ?
If so, contact me on fcla@dr.dk.
