Hi, i have a problem with my backups:
when make_recovery has finished, at the end tell to me that needs other tape, i put tape and inmediatly finish ..

why is this?
how can i make to system not ask to me for other tape?

Check the capaicty of Tape you are using .If you are still using a DDS-2 drive you may have to think of upgrading your DAT drive to DDS3 or DDS4 .

I think when you load the 2nd tape, you need to specify the device file (/dev/rmt/0mn) to continue the the process. If you just hit return I think the make recovery is stopped. It's been a while since I've done this, but I think I remember it working this way. Read your message closely.

Two ways:

1) Backup less data

2) Use a larger capacity tape.

The backup is merely doing what it is supposed to be doing. Apparently the amount of data that is in your VG00 is too much to fit on a single tape then it will ask for a 2nd tape.

You may want to look at your VG00 and see if there is anything you can clean up.
