OTS9000

I have problems with OTS9000.

I cannot ping a the same time 2 different OSI address from my Itanium Server.

The Sw installed is:

- B.11.23.0712.070 HP-UX 11i v2 (December 2007)

- 32070B C.12.00.00 OSI Trnspt and Srvcs for 9000/800

- PHNE_36827 OTS9000 C.12.00.00 Cumulative Patch

Thanks for support.

Re: OTS9000

Shalom,

This sounds like a name resolution problem.

Check
/etc/hosts
/etc/nsswitch.conf
/etc/resolv.conf

One of those files is mis configured or the server its pointing to for dns resolution is not set up to provide a proper answer.

If you could provide a command and error message, we could provide you more detailed help and be sure of the answer. Above is a guess.

Re: OTS9000

Hi, thx for your reply.

The problem is very strange:

I opened two different terminal session:

On the first one I launched the osiping command versus an OSI machine. This works well.

On the second one I launched a different osiping command versus another OSI machine. It doesn't work (no response).

Just after the first OSI ping stop, the second one works fine.

Do you think that it could be a dns problem ?

What are the logs that you need ?

Thx

Re: OTS9000

I do not have X25 systems now.

But try with full address
osiping 30012033960050513055

osidiag
Osiconfchk

Check these files for config
/etc/opt/ots/conf/ots_dests
/etc/opt/ots/conf/remote_app
/etc/rc.config.d/x25

Regards.

Re: OTS9000

HI,

also with full OSI address I am not able to do a contemporary ping (also on the same OSI address from two different terminal)

What I have to check ?

With osishowis command
I can see the OSI list correctly.

After to be launch osichkconf I don't know what is the keyboard combination in order to launch for example the Help Menu(^ F1,..)

Thx

Nicola
