P-Synch and Trusted System

We want to use P-Synch with a trusted system and we are wondering if anyone else had done this

We use P-Synch with trusted systems and it works great. There is one thing that we are trying to resolve and that is with the ROOT id and the /etc/default/security member PASSWORD_HISTORY_DEPTH. We have the root id disabled but it still follow's what the setting is for PASSWORD_HISTORY_DEPTH when PSYNCH tries to change a users password.
