package javax.crypto does not exist with JDK1.5.0 at HP11.11
Environment:
HP Version : HP-UX peterpan B.11.11 U 9000/899
JDK Installed:
java version "1.5.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0-_24_nov_2004_16_29)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0 FCS (JS B64) jinteg:11.24.04-15:51 PA2.0 (aCC_AP), mixed
mode)
JDK Source: jre15_15000_1111.tar.Z (63859089)
Problem :
package javax.crypto does not exist
import javax.crypto.*;
I am not able to compile my source.
Steps Tried:
Added following lines of code in java.security
under/jre/lib/security
security.provider.4=com.sun.crypto.provider.SunJCE
Still it did not work.
Another point i noticed that jce.jar was not available under/jre/lib. It was only available under /lib directory.
Same Code works fine in following environment:
JDK(1.5.0)of Solaris 2.8
JDK 1.4.2.03 in HP (build 1.4.2 1.4.2.03-040401-18:59-PA_RISC2.0 PA2.0 (aCC_AP), mixed mode)

Re: package javax.crypto does not exist with JDK1.5.0 at HP11.11
Yet another good reason for HP and sysadmins not to run with dot-zero releeases.
You'll have to give HP some time to get 1.50 java to market.
