Password Policy on HP-UX 11.11

Hi,
I have HP-UX 11.11 with shadow password installed. But the system is not in trusted mode.I want to set the password policy for expiration to 90 days for all users on the system. But need to exclude the root..as root should never expires. I can't put the system in trusted mode.

Hi Narendra,

Try this:

go to SAM
1. Accounts for Users and Groups
2.
3. Actions -> Modify -> Modify Password Options.. -> Enable password aging

And then make changes as required.

After this use:
# passwd -s to see password policy on this user.
