Re: patch in the html format
Even if the file is called PHxxxx.html you should try the command; sh PHxxxx.html to unpack it. This will create 2 files, PHxxxx.txt and PHxxxx.depot.
If this doesnt work you havent downloaded the file correctly. When you save it ensure you save it as type source (binary). Alernatively, when you see the patch on the webpage right click on it and select the menu option SAVE AS, this will save it as type source which you can then run sh on and it will unpack the 2 files needed.

Re: patch in the html format
Thats wrong, u should not move it to text format, u have to run #sh PHSS_21947.html, which creates PHSS_21947.depot and PHSS_21947.text files.
Then install it using .depot file.
Cheers...
Satish.

Re: patch in the html format
Just downloaded this patch from the ITRC. When I clicked on the download button it asks me filename to save it as, I select PHSS_21947, then when its downloaded (12MB) I can unpack it fine with;
sh PHSS_21947
And it creates the .text and .depot files fine. The patch is fine on the ITRC site, its not corrupted. As its 12MB maybe you have a slow internet connection and its not downloading correctly. When you download it then it should be 12692251 bytes. Is it ?
