I wanted to install PHKL_28766 but getting some errors.If any one can help me to install it. The error msg. is attached. This kernal patch has depandent patch also. but not installing a single patch.
OTE: The patch fileset "PHCO_23651.VXFS-BASE-RUN,r=1.0" may only be
installed upon a previously installed base fileset. The
specification for this base fileset is
"JournalFS.VXFS-BASE-RUN,fr=B.11.00,v=HP". Since there is no
fileset on the target or selected from the source which
matches this specification, fileset
"PHCO_23651.VXFS-BASE-RUN,r=1.0" will be excluded.
* Executing preDSA command.
NOTE: Could not install the bundle "BUNDLE,r=B.11.00" because none
of its filesets could be installed.
* Summary of Analysis Phase:
* 22 of 22 filesets will be Skipped.
* The Analysis Phase succeeded.

Re: Patch Installation error
Check with swlist wheather you have JournalFS.VXFS-BASE-RUN file set
#swlist -l fileset |grep JournalFS.VXFS-BASE-RUN
If nothing comes in output than ignore this messages.

Re: Patch Installation error
The above mentioned patch PHKL_28766 has as many as 6 dependencies
PHCO_23651 is a fsck_vxfs cummulative patch
Not sure why it is giving this error,if you try to install thro sam with the manage patch selection option hope it should take care of this.

Re: Patch Installation error
#swlist -l fileset |grep JournalFS.VXFS-BASE-RUN
After this I did not get any o/p.
The prob is I am getting one error msg. which suggest to install the PHKL_28766.
ORA-00445: background process `PMON` did not start after 120 seconds
I cheched that this patch is not installed in my server. But afterdownloading it system is not installing it.
Now Sunil, since I am not getting o/p this patch is not required.

Re: Patch Installation error
If the JFS product does not list in your search, you do not need this patch.
If this patch did apply you would see the following output. This is from my system that has both the base and the advanced JFS product installed.
# swlist -l product |grep JournalFS
AdvJournalFS B.11.00 The Advanced VxFS File System
JournalFS B.11.00 The Base VxFS File System <------
