Patch news for SAM/Lan cards from June Bundle

PHCO_19990: Cumulative SAM/ObAM Patch June 2000

When PHCO_19990 is installed on a system which contains an HSC 100BT
LAN interface card, PHNE_20893 (HSC 100BT lan cumulative patch) must
also be installed. In addition, after PHNE_20893 is installed, the
new configuration file must be copied into its proper place manually:

cp /usr/newconfig/etc/rc.config.d/hpgsc100conf /etc/rc.config.d

Without PHNE_20893 and the manual copy step, the "Network Interface
Cards" area of SAM will not allow modification of the Speed, Duplex,
or Autoneg values for the LAN card.

PHCO_19047: Cumulative SAM/ObAM Patch June 2000

When PHCO_19047 is installed on a system which contains a PCI 100BT LAN
interface card, PHNE_19094 (PCI 100BT/F cumulative patch) must be installed.
If the system contains an A5506 card, then PHNE_20423 (4 port PCI 100BASE-T
cumulative patch) must also be installed.

After PHNE_19094 is installed, its new configuration file must be copied
into its proper place manually:

cp /usr/newconfig/etc/rc.config.d/hpsppci100conf /etc/rc.config.d

After PHNE_20423 is installed, its new configuration file must be copied
into its proper place manually:

cp /usr/newconfig/etc/rc.config.d/hpbtlanconf /etc/rc.config.d

Without PHNE_19094, PHNE_20423, and the manual copy steps, the "Network
Interface Cards" area of SAM may produce the message
"invalid duplex value for interface", or display odd combinations of the
Autoneg, Speed, and Duplex Mode selections.
