Patch PHCO_34673 for DST

Hello,

When I try to download this patch, I get a huge text file whether I choose HTTP or FTP. Can you tell me how I can get this patch from the website that I can place on my server?

Thanks!

Try ftping from your server to ftp.itrc.hp.com
logon as anonymous and use your email as the password. Then you'll have to drill down to the location of the patch, i.e
hp-ux_patches/s700_800/11.X/...

Oh be in /tmp when you ftp that way the patch will be downloaded there.

Gary,

You can right click and select "save target as" and save the file.

Once the file is saved, ftp the file to the server and run "sh /PHCO_24673" to unshar file.

This will unshar PHCO_34673.depot and PHCO_34673.text file. Read the text file to familiarize yourself with what the patch does and any special installation instructions.

Install the patch using swinstall

# swinstall -x patch_match_target=true -s /PHCO_34673.depot \*

Also, once you have selected the patch and told it to download the selected patch and it flips to the next screen with http and ftp options look at the top of the screen just under the grey box with useful links and what's new and you will notice a
"+ Expand to view additional download options", click on that and chose gzip or what ever you want. Wait for the screen to refresh if you change the option, I always use gzip, it seems more reliable.
