need command to present disk to HPUX 11.11

I have allocated 100Gb on my EVA6000 to my RP5450; however, I do not see the disk on my HP. How do I get the HP to recognize that disk?

use the insf command


insf -e

man insf for more details

You will need to run ioscan first before running the insf command

Assuming all other details are in place (like fabric zoning, storage presentation etc), the following command sequence should get your system to see the new LUN

# ioscan -fnC disk

# insf -v -C disk

After running both commands, I still do not see any unused disk that has been presented to the system.

try ioscan -fn without the C disk

also try insf without any other parameters

still no success. have run ioscan -fnC disk;insf -e and do not see the disk on the system.

can you see both (the server and the EVA) from the switch?

Did you present the disk in the EVA to the host?

Try

ioscan -fnCfc

on the host to get the servers WWN.

Now search for this value on the switch and present the vDisk to that WWN(s).

After this run "insf" like suggested.

Did you present the vdisk to the host on the EVA? If not you will never be able to see it on the host.

insf -e -C disk

without the -C disk it won't do anything.

Some LUN disks will not show up on ioscan until you reboot.
