HP-UX System Administrators
Hewlett Packard offers Patch Equivalency information to assist you in the process of migrating from one HP-UX OS to another. We are in the process of evaluating the effectiveness of the current Patch Equivalency information we offer. Please take a moment and respond to this short survey. Your feedback will allow us to better assist you in this area.
1. When you are migrating from an OLDER OS to a NEW OS (such as 10.20 to 11i), how do you account for patches you have applied to that OLDER OS?
a. Attempt to verify whether each patch is fixed in the NEW OS, or available as a replacement patch.
b. Rely on HP to include all fixes in the NEW OS plus its accompanying patch bundles.
c. Other - please explain:
2. Do you ever access the patch equivalency information found under the Individual Patches
section of the ITRC? (answer YES where appropriate)
a. I use the Patch Equivalency Tables
b. I use the Patch Equivalency Information
c. None of above
3. If you answered YES to question 2, please provide some additional information about your use of the Patch Equivalency Tables or Information:
a. What purpose(s) do you use them for?
b. Do they meet your needs?
c. Do you have suggestions about how to improve them?
4. Do you ever use the Patch Equivalency lists that are included on your HP-UX core CD?
5. If you answered YES to question 4, please provide some additional information about your use of the Patch Equivalency Lists:
a. What purpose(s) do you use them for?
b. Do they meet your needs?
c. Do you have suggestions about how to improve them?
