Patches for HP-UX 11.23 OS.

Hello Everyone,

I want to know what are the patches that i need to install over the system just after installation of 11.23 over 1 N-Par of rp8400 PA-RISC server.

Hardware configuratiion:
2 LAN card ,2 Fibre channel card ,1 DVD Drive, 1 SCSI port inbuilt over motherboard , 1 cell board having 2 cpu and 6 GB DIMM.

Application that will be needed to install over it is BOXiR3.Though i know from the document of this application that what are the patches that i need to install for this application but i don't know about what patches are needed to install except these patches.

hi MAK,

you need to install only the patches recommended by the application.

If you have an aggressive patching strategy then you may consider installing the latest available patch bundles. These are available from:
http://www11.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/releaseIndexPage.do?BC=main|

so that for now it would be: Dec '07 (11.23 Standard Patch Bundles)

First of all thanx for your support and suggestion.

As u recommended that if i would like to install patches other than application then i should go for : " Dec '07 (11.23 Standard Patch Bundles)"

I checked for this over itrc site but i found that it was having total of 4 bundle/depot under it viz.

1.BUNDLE11i(B.11.23.0409.3) - Required Patch Bundle for HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23), September 2004

2.HWEnable11i(B.11.23.0712.070) Hardware Enablement Patches for HP-UX 11i v2, December 2007

3.FEATURE11i(B.11.23.0712.070) Feature Enablement Patches for HP-UX 11i v2, December 2007 .

4.QPK1123(B.11.23.0712.070a) Quality Pack Depot for 11i v2, December 2007 .

Now tell me whether i need to install all 4 of these bundle/depot or only some of them??

Plz,also tell me what is the "QPKBASE and QPKAPPS bundles and GOLD patch" ??

hi again MAK,

if you are doing a fresh installation of the Application, i would recommend the installation of all of them.
