Patches required on system
Good morning to all!
I want to analyze the system for patches required to be installed. Is there any way I can do it. Like run some diagnostic on the system and know about patches required on it.
Further I want to create my own package which will have set of patches and thus I will create a CD. I am having 6-systems in all.
Please advise, this exercise I have to carry right away.
Thanks and regards
Prashant

Re: Patches required on system
They will send you a script called: collect.sh
Then you send them a file called:
PSIFILE-040907-yourserver.txt

Re: Patches required on system
unless you need a specific latest patch, you can rely on HP expertise and install patch bundles prepared periodically by HP. These bundles are:
HP-UX Quality Pack bundles:
http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=QUALITYPACK
HP-UX Hardware Enablement Patch Bundles
http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B3782HWE
Good practice is to update periodically also the Diagnostic and Support Tools
