Patches

Where's the best place to find info on how to install patches? Is there an automated process that I can sign up for that will notify me when a patch needs to be installed?

If you want to install individual patches, then you just need to read the instructions provided in the text file included with each patch.

Thanks for the info. Do you recommend doing patch bundles on a regular basis if individual patches are not installed?

I do patch bundles 1 or 2 times per year. I also supplement with individual patches for security issues as appropriate.

I also do yearly patch analysis on all my systems via this tool:

There is also a new tool available called HP-UX software assistant that is supposed to help with patch analysis. I haven't used this tool yet, but it is on my list to evaluate. It is a FREE tool. Info here:
