Re: patching HP-UX11

Hi Ayub ,

1. First need to check the current patch level:
# swlist -l bundle | grep patch

2. You can install the "QPK June 2005" bundle , for hp-ux 11.11 from.

http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/releaseIndexPage.do?BC=patch.breadcru
mb.main|patch.breadcrumb.bundle

3. Which version of hpux do you have ?

and would like to hv some more info.

Cheers ,
Raj.

Re: patching HP-UX11

Hi Ayub ,

You are having "Hardware Enablement Patches for HP-UX 11.00, March 2002"

can check with this :
# swlist -l bundle | grep -i qpk

And you can install "March 2004 Bundle" for hp-ux 11.00 ,
thats available on itrc patch db :

http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/releasePage.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.releaseIndexPage|&releaseId=5013-2091

Re: patching HP-UX11

Nothing comes

root@sydsed1# swlist -l bundle | grep -i qpk
root@sydsed1#

Is that means no patch was installed?

Re: patching HP-UX11

Ayub ,

Just take the output of # swlist -l bundle ,and you can check if you have QPK1100 is installed.

you will get output like this :

QPK1100 B.11.00.60.4 Quality Pack for HP-UX 11.00, March 2003

You have HWEnable of June 2002. no Quality Pack , seems installed.

Any way you can download the patch bundle from the given above link and can install.

Cheers,
Raj.

Re: patching HP-UX11

Obtain the file cpm_collect.sh and run this file. You will get a file name with an extention on .fs. Submit this to the HP patch check site and run an analysis on the file. You can change your check prioroties, or use the HP recommended.
