Patching problem.
Hi
When trying to apply the "GOLDBASE11i B.11.11.0606" patch bundle the installation process stops when loading the new kernel. The error message is:
Compiling /stand/build/conf.c...
Loading the kernel...
ld: Unsatisfied symbol "ivt_enroll_clock_ints" in file /usr/conf/lib/libperf.a[ivt_intercept.o]
1 errors.
Hardware is a rp2430.
I have installed the same bundle on other similar systems without any problems.
Any idea ?
/leif

Re: Patching problem.
It appears that that this patch:
PHKL_27532
http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/patchDocDisplay.do?patchId=pdb_na-PHKL_27532-1
is what is loading a new /usr/conf/lib/libperf.a[ivt_intercept.o].
Have a look at the patch description and see if it applies to you. If it doesn't, you might try skipping this one.

Re: Patching problem.
Shalom,
Possible that a prior patch its trying to update is corrupt.
swverify \*
cleanup -c 1
That might help.

Re: Patching problem.
Make tape backup first.
Try to (re)install patch PHKL_29434 (and dependent PHKL_28150).
After that reinstall bundle.
regards,
ivan
