Patching

When patching Oracle with accumulative patches, what does that mean actually?

I it is june 1st, 2006 and I load the cummulative for that month, does it include all the patches I need for 2005 - up to June 1st 2006 ????

Re: Patching

Yes. Accumulative means always (in patch worls) that it includes everything that leaded to it, but might have newer patches that obsoleted some in previous patch sets.

HTH.

Yes. It has all necessary patches included. You only need one shot of accumulative patches.

Hi,

Yes accumulative patch means it does included everything loaded into it. We useually load the accumulative patch about every quarter that HP releases it. This way we are current on our patch management.
